CRIME: RETAIL THEFT OF CIGARETTES
CRIME SCENE: 1458 42ND STREET NW, WINTER HAVEN
POLK COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE CASE #23-29069

The Polk County Sheriff's Office is investigating the theft of cigarettes that occurred at the 863 Deals convenience store at 1458 42nd Street NW in Winter Haven around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

The store clerk reported that an unknown black female suspect went into the store and asked for a carton of Newport cigarettes. When the clerk placed them on the counter, she asked for a different brand. While the clerk had his back turned retrieving a different carton, the suspect grabbed the Newports and fled. She got into the passenger side of a light-colored Mercedes convertible with a dark top, which was last seen heading south on 42nd Street.
