Polk City Ballpark Burglaries

Mar 18, 2020
Media Contact : Brian Bruchey, PIO

The Polk City baseball league has been having some problems with break-ins at the Polk City Park on Duey Road.

A member of the organization discovered damages from a burglary on March 2nd, in which the door of a concession stand had been pried open and items were stolen. She contacted the Polk County Sheriff's Office.

Stolen from within were Gatorade drinks and candies such as M&M’s, Slim Jims, Skittles, Reese’s Cups, Blow Pops, and Ring Pops to name a few.

On March 15th, another burglary was discovered in the concession stand. This time, the theft only consisted of two Gatorades. Following the prior burglary, all remaining items were removed from the room. But still, the concession stand suffered more damages due to this break-in.

Then on March 18th, another break-in was attempted, but was unsuccessful. We now have two photos from that attempt, and here they are.

Please contact Detective Colletti at 863-577-1631 (regarding case #20-10907) with any information you feel may be helpful to this case, or to remain anonymous, contact Heartland Crime Stoppers - call 1-800-226 TIPS (8477), visit the website www.heartlandcrimestoppers.com and click on "Submit A Tip," or download the free "P3tips" app on your smartphone or tablet.Suspects of Burglaries
